News: New members need to be approved before they can post. Sorry about this. We had a few spammers trying it on. It is a simple process - but pop a note in at 9 Lincoln Way giving me your email address. Or just email Dixon Jones saying who you are and where in the village you live and I will "hook you up".

Hi, I'm Dixon Jones and I live in Lincoln Way. I've put this site together. I tried some other formats, over a few years, but I am hoping this version will be much easier for people to use.

So... who are you? please introduce yourself.

My name is Nigel Charman, I live in Station Road and work in Covent Garden so parking and Last Capital Connect will be 2 of my favourite subjects.

Phil Wright here, ex Harlingtonian but one who's keen to keep an eye on what's happening "back home"
I often checked the old site for news and hope that people will use this forum more than they did the old site.

Hi Dixon - keep up the good work.
Hi Nigel - I hope you're well.
And Hi Laura - see you in June!! :-)

Hello, I'm Richard Perfitt, and I moved with my wife Sonia, to Monmouth Road a little over 3 years ago.
Although I originally hail from the Thames Valley, and my wife was born in Luton, Harlington is definitely home, and such a friendly place to live.
We both like to get involved in the many diverse activities held in Harlington, as well as supporting local businesses.
Love the new site!

Hi All, I live on Westoning Road, with my wife Rita and my two boys!  I was on the Village Plan Committee and also was actively involved in the old website with Dixon.  I work in Aylesbury, along with a few other residents of Harlington Wink!

Hi everyone,

My name's Matt and I am considering moving to Harlington, and wondered whether anyone had any good local knowledge in terms of things to do.

I've visited the village a few times now and like the peace and quiet that it offers, have taken a tour of the health club and sunk a few pints at the pubs...but I was keen to see what sort of community events were up and running as well.

I work in London and so would also be keen to hear from anyone who commutes in (can you get a seat? How reliable is the service?)

Thanks in advance -

Matt

Hi All

Well I am Caroline - like Matt above am considering moving into the village so thought I would start by finding out a little bit about what is going on!

Also I am looking to rent a property in the village so if anyone knows of someone who is looking to rent theirs out I thought this may be a good place to ask!

I have a 10 year old black dog who will be living with me so hope there are also some friendly dogs in the area for him to play with!

I am interested in Harlington because of the conveninece of the station (as I work in the City), and although I can tell from a quick read that many of you have had some challenging experiences on the rail links, believe me at least your general service is cheaper & much more frequent than my current service in Kent ... yes thats the Southeastern one!  Blergh!

Hope to meet some of you one day soon!

Take care

Caroline
