News: New members need to be approved before they can post. Sorry about this. We had a few spammers trying it on. It is a simple process - but pop a note in at 9 Lincoln Way giving me your email address. Or just email Dixon Jones saying who you are and where in the village you live and I will "hook you up".

If you were one of the people that looked at the old site, you'll have noticed that it rarely changed. It wasnt doing what it was supposed to do, which is to allow people to share information about the village.

So this site is pretty much just that - a way for people in the village to communicate with each other.

I don't know how that will pan out, but since every reasonable sized town in the country seems to have its own community website these days, I don't see why our village can't have something just as useful.

So if anyone posts anything, the site will develop. If not... well I tried. you post and let's see where we go!

Dixon.

Bravo Dixon.
I always thought the old site was a very good idea that was underused. I am still the proud owner of a bookcase (free) that I found on there and am looking forward to seeing the discussion about parking restrictions on this new improved site.
For the record, and it does effect me as a resident in Station Road, I am absolutely against any residents' parking system.

Hey - thanks for coming in Nigel and everyone else. Good to see people signing up and especially good to see Mary adding things in the What's on section.

As long as I can duck the flack, I'm hoping that the topics of conversation are from the community, not me.

I have also set up a third "room" for people to add clubs and societies. The "what's on" section doesn't really cater well for just describing clubs and stuff.
