Hi Dixon,
I wondered if this may be useful to send out via harlington.net. As you may have heard that has been a number of house robberies in Harlington, many of them during the day as well as evening. Beds Police run an electronic version of 'neighbourhood watch' and email us with details as soon as they are reported.
We signed up to Ringmaster last year when there was a spate of distraction robberies on doorsteps of elderly people. Most of our neighbours are elderly and don't have computers. So we let them know if there is a lot of 'activity' in order for them to be more vigilant. As you can see, just in the last few months there have been a significant number of burglaries.
Perhaps others could sign up to Ringmaster and keep their neighbours informed. There's no catch - there are no meetings or curtain twitching required. I think you have to fill out a form for the local community officer. The email is
ringmaster@bedfordshire.pnn.police.uk) ; if you ask to be added to the contact list.
Jenny Halford
Here is what they have sent us in the last 2 months.
