The thread on Harlington burglaries has shown just how useful this forum can be in keeping people informed about what is going on in the village. Trouble is, not many people seem to be using it.

I think the time has come for more publicity. Dixon, how about a piece in Contact and the Village Newsletter?

Not at all. I see Contact and the Village Newsletter as publications that contain information of medium-term interest, to be kept for at least a month and referred back to. This forum, on the other hand, could contain up-to-the-minute information that is only of short-term interest -- roads blocked by snow, roadworks, unscheduled school closures, sightings of litter louts, warnings of people pestering door-to-door  etc etc etc.
